Passionate about JESUS
I am NOTHING without Jesus. Though I was born into a "Christian" family, I knew about Him, prayed, and even read my bible, but I never had a genuine Encounter with him until 2004 at my current church - G12 Church. I experienced the revelation of the Cross and suddenly I knew I'd never be the same. I realized I belonged to God and that this life is temporary.
At the Cross we find freedom, happiness, healing, and so much more. There we are made whole. The old has passed + He makes all things new. My duty is to tell the world of this new life we are able to live with Jesus on our side.
In Jesus we find life! And in Him we find our purpose.

I ❤ FASHION
Since elementary school, I had a sketchbook where I would constantly draw anything fashion related. My dream was to be a fashion designer. I lived and breathed fashion, subscribing to Vanity Fair and Vogue at the tender age of 12 and would constantly cut out magazines for my scrapbook. Though I never pursued a fashion career, my love for it remains. I still read my subscriptions to Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and more. I also try to stay up-to-date through social media and blogs. In Miami it's Summer all year round, so I tend to follow trends from everywhere. I cannot put a label on my personal style, but if I had to define it in a few words, it would be: classy yet trendy, elegant, and chic! I like to keep classic looks while following certain trends that fit my personality. I consider myself a uniquely fun person who isn't afraid to try new things + aim for my style to tell the Jocie Dova story.

G12 Church
I've been a member at G12 Church for over 12 years and it's not just a church, it feels like home and we are a family. Our Senior Pastors are Cesar + Claudia Castellanos. They are two of the greatest people I know! We have an awesome team of pastors. My leaders are Julian Gamba + Lorena Castellanos. They're not just my leaders but also two of my best friends. We lead worship together and it's an honor to be part of our G12 Church worship team. |
What's a cell group?
A Cell group is a homogeneous group where we meet once a week to receive a fresh word from God through the cell leader. JuanPe + Jocie's Cell Our Friday cell is a group of young adults. We meet weekly at 8 PM in Miramar/Pembroke Pines in Broward County. To find out where we meet and for more info., click HERE. |
